In these shots from Wolfboy, the 1984 Canadian play which ignited his acting career, Keanu is photographed passionately kissing his co-star, Carl Marotte. Photographer David Hlynsky sprayed the boys with water "for a sweaty glow" and suggested the actors kiss and caress each other. "They were both apprehensive about it," he said in a 1991 interview, "but they understood the sexual tension in the parts they were playing."
